The service business website problem

Most service business websites lose the lead before the buyer calls.

Buyers judge a service business website on a phone, usually with a problem already in mind. The page has to say what you do, why you can be trusted and what to do next before another company looks easier to contact.

1

Slow mobile pages lose leads

Google’s research found that 53% of mobile visitors leave a page that takes longer than three seconds to load. For a service business, speed protects calls, forms and the ad spend that paid for each visit.

2

No one-tap path to call

Buyers with an urgent need do not hunt through menus. The phone number, the quote path and one trust cue need to be obvious from the first screen.

3

Built for looks, not for search

A site without schema markup, clean URLs, fast Core Web Vitals and real service pages is easier to outrank. Google needs to understand what you do, where you work and why buyers trust you.

4

No proof near the first button

Owners compare several providers in one sitting. If the page shows no reviews, project proof or credentials near the first call to action, the better-framed competitor gets the call.

What every Lithium website includes

Eight foundations, built in from day one.

Every service business website Lithium ships carries the same eight foundations, planned before design starts so search, ads, tracking and the conversion path work together.

Sub-2.5-second mobile load

Each site targets a Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint under 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1, checked on real mobile conditions.

Mobile-first conversion path

Call and quote buttons stay within thumb reach, click-to-call is wired correctly and forms ask only for the details that qualify a lead.

A clear first screen

The hero answers four questions fast: what you do, who you help, why a buyer should trust you and what to do next.

SEO-ready architecture

URLs, headings, internal links and schema markup are planned before design, so SEO and Google Ads traffic has pages ready to land on.

Google Business Profile alignment

Your name, address, phone, service categories and service areas match between the website and your Google Business Profile.

Real proof where it converts

Verified reviews, project examples and credentials sit beside the decisions they support. No invented badges or generic logo strips.

Tracking tied to revenue

GA4 events fire on every form, booking and click-to-call, call tracking ties each conversation to its source, and Google Ads conversion tags go in before launch.

Accessible and AI-search ready

Color contrast, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation and direct-answer blocks help people, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity read the page clearly.

Website rebuild case study

A Gulf Coast glass company rebuilt its site and drove 76% more conversions.

Dixie Glass has served Pascagoula, Lucedale and Gulfport on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1946. Lithium replaced its outdated Wix site with a conversion-focused WordPress website, rebuilt the Google Ads campaigns with proper conversion tracking and added SEO on top.

Our process

From kickoff to launch in six to nine weeks.

Lithium runs every build on a weekly review, decide and build cadence, so you always know what is happening and what we need from you.

  1. 1Week 1

    Discovery and strategy

We map your services, buyers, revenue per lead, competitors and current channels, using Search Console, GA4, call tracking and CRM data when available, and agree on the site’s conversion goal.

  2. 2Week 2

    Site architecture and content plan

You get a sitemap, URL structure, schema plan and a page-by-page brief, so SEO and conversion thinking are built in before design starts.

  3. 3Weeks 2 to 3

    Design direction

We present desktop and mobile designs tied to the brief. You react, we refine, and every page follows the approved system.

  4. 4Weeks 3 to 6

    Build, content and integrations

We build on WordPress and write the copy in parallel, with forms, GA4 events, call tracking, Google Ads conversion tags, schema and any CRM or booking integrations.

  5. 5Weeks 6 to 7

    QA, launch and indexing

We test on real phones, check Core Web Vitals and schema, map redirects from old URLs, and confirm Search Console and analytics before launch.

  6. 6After launch

    30, 60 and 90-day tracking

After launch we watch conversion rate, impressions, lead quality and page speed, and report what changed in plain English.

Pricing

Most Lithium websites cost $5,000.

That is the typical price for a service business website. Larger sites with more pages, integrations, content or tracking get a fixed proposal, and you see the number after a 30‑minute discovery call.

“Lithium has moved us to page 1 in Google search organically. Prior to working with them we spent a huge part of our marketing budget on paid search. Website redesign was a great experience.”

“A lot of options out there for websites and SEO. I’ve worked with this team for years now and would highly recommend them. They know their stuff and deliver results. More importantly to me- they care about service and follow through on what they say they will do. Easy to work with and communicate with. Thank you!”

Still curious?

Call (503) 766-5964 or email [email protected].

Do you offer hosting and maintenance after launch?

Yes. Our optional $99/month hosting and maintenance includes secure private website hosting on a dedicated high-speed server, daily backups, software and security updates, and basic website changes. It is not required, but most clients choose it to keep their new website updated and running smoothly.

How much does a small business website cost?

A typical Lithium service business website costs $5,000, and most of the sites we build come in at that price. Larger sites with more service pages, integrations, content or conversion tracking get a clear scope and a fixed proposal after a 30-minute discovery call. Many clients pair the launch with SEO or Google Ads so qualified traffic reaches the new site right away.

How long until my new website is live?

Six to nine weeks from kickoff to launch is typical for a focused service business site. Discovery happens in week one, design direction in weeks two and three, the build in weeks three to six, and launch QA in weeks six to seven. Larger sites, multi-location structures or complex integrations can take longer.

Will a new website help me rank on Google?

A new site does not rank by itself; ongoing SEO does. Every Lithium build ships with the foundations rankings depend on: schema markup, Core Web Vitals targets, clean URLs, crawlable service pages, internal links, proof and Google Business Profile alignment.

Is the website ready for AI search?

Yes. Every Lithium website ships with answer-first copy, schema markup that matches the visible page, consistent business details, an llms.txt file and robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, so Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can read it clearly. Ongoing AI search optimization is part of Lithium’s SEO programs.

Do I own the website when it is finished?

Yes. You own the domain, hosting account, WordPress install, design files, content, and any custom code. If you ever leave Lithium, you take the site with you. We build the website as a business asset, not as a rented template you cannot control.

Can I update the website myself after launch?

Yes. Lithium builds on WordPress, so your team can edit pages visually without writing code. You get a private Loom walk-through of your site, and we can stay involved for technical support, SEO, content, paid traffic and conversion improvements.

Why work with Lithium instead of a typical web designer?

Lithium plans the website, SEO, Google Ads, tracking and conversion strategy as one connected program. A senior strategist is involved before design starts, so the site is shaped around the traffic it needs to earn and the calls and forms it needs to produce.

Do you offer in-person meetings?

No. Lithium is headquartered in Portland, with a team in Portland, Bend and Seattle, and we meet every client by video. Projects run on Zoom, email, shared documents and Loom videos, which keeps decisions moving.
