Lost quote requests

A capable shop can still look wrong for the job online.

Purchasing managers and engineers vet suppliers on their websites, often without contacting a single one. Any of these gaps can drop you from their list.

1

The capability is not on the page

A line like “quality you can count on” does not tell an engineer whether your shop runs the process, holds the tolerance or handles the material they need. When the spec is missing, they move on to a supplier whose page lists it.

2

Every inquiry lands in one inbox

Quote requests, job applications and sales pitches all arrive through the same contact form. The RFQ waits in line behind the rest, and a buyer on a deadline asks the next shop.

3

Months between the form and the order

A quote can take weeks or months to turn into a purchase order, and by then the search that started it is long forgotten.

4

The shop changed, the site didn’t

You add a machine or earn a certification, yet the website still describes the shop as it was years ago, because every edit waits on a developer.

Advanced Coatings

Cerakote and powder coating

  • Redmond, OR
  • WordPress + Elementor

An industrial coatings shop with a site as precise as its finishes.

Cerakote, powder coating, aviation work and mil-spec work each have their own pages, so a buyer comparing coating suppliers lands on the one that matches the job.

Manufacturing web design

What does a manufacturing website need?

A manufacturing website needs to answer an engineer’s questions on the page and make the quote request the obvious next step. Here is what Lithium builds into one.

Capability pages written for engineers

Processes, materials, part sizes and tolerances stated plainly, so an engineer can check fit without calling to ask.

An RFQ form on the page they are reading

The quote request sits on the capability page itself, so the buyer can ask for a price the moment the spec checks out.

GA4 and call tracking built in

Every form fill and phone call is recorded with the page, search or ad behind it, so even a slow purchase order gets credited to whatever started it.

Proof where buyers look for it

Certifications, industries served and photos of real parts sit next to the capability they support.

Fast pages on every screen

Every build targets Google’s Core Web Vitals: main content on screen within 2.5 seconds, a response to a click or tap within 200 milliseconds and nothing jumping around as the page fills in.

WordPress, updated in-house

Your staff can post a new capability or certificate themselves, after a private Loom walkthrough shows them how.

Manufacturing SEO

How does SEO work for a manufacturer?

Manufacturing SEO works by making each capability page the clearest answer to the searches your buyers make for a process or material, on a site Google can crawl without trouble.

  1. 1Month one

    Repair what blocks Google

Crawl errors, slow templates, duplicate pages and missing redirects get fixed first. Search results usually reflect those fixes within 30 days.

  2. 2Months two and three

Map capability pages to real searches

Each page targets the words buyers type, from process names to material callouts, and narrow terms like these typically start ranking in 60 to 90 days.

  3. 3Ongoing

Spell out the specs for AI answers

Schema markup, answer-first copy, matching company facts everywhere and an llms.txt file put your processes and materials in a form that Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can parse. No one can promise an AI mention.

  4. 4Every month

    Judge SEO by the pipeline

Monthly reports tie rankings and traffic to the quote requests and calls they produced.

AI automation for manufacturers

Where does AI automation help a manufacturer?

AI automation helps most with the repetitive work around a quote: reading documents, moving details between systems and chasing requests that went quiet. Each automation is fitted to the software your estimators and office staff already use.

Document processing

AI reads incoming documents and puts the key details into your system, so nobody retypes them by hand.

CRM and system integrations

Your website form, CRM, calendar, spreadsheets and phone system all work from one customer record.

Follow-up automation

A quote with no reply gets a scheduled follow-up. Nobody has to remember to check back.

What to budget

Rates for manufacturing web design, SEO and ads.

For a manufacturer’s website, the price mostly comes down to two things: how many capability pages it needs and which systems the RFQ form has to feed.

Conversion web design

$5,000

typical project

Larger sites with more pages or integrations get a fixed proposal after a 30-minute discovery call. Six to nine weeks from kickoff to launch.

SEO

$1,300–$3,000

per month

Typical local SEO retainer, scoped against your revenue per lead.

Google Ads management

From $500

per month

Plus ad spend. Typical: $500–$1,500 a month in management, plus ad spend of $2,000–$5,000 a month.

AI receptionist

$179

per month

Fully managed. No contracts, cancel anytime. Live in days.

AI automation

Scoped

after discovery

Clear, upfront pricing after a free discovery call. Custom builds typically take 1–2 weeks.

Optional hosting and maintenance: $99/month. Secure private hosting on a dedicated high-speed server, daily backups, software and security updates, and basic website changes are all included. Most clients choose this option to keep their new website updated and running smoothly; it is not required.

Our usual service agreement starts with six months, then continues month to month with 30 days’ cancellation notice. Your written agreement sets the final terms. The AI receptionist has no contract.

Still curious?

Call (503) 766-5964 or email [email protected].

Do you work with B2B manufacturers or only home services?

Lithium works with B2B manufacturers as well as home service companies, anywhere in the US. The difference is how buyers find you: a plumber gets searched by town, while a manufacturer gets searched by what it makes, so the plan centers on those terms.

Does SEO pay off when only a few people search for what we make?

SEO can still pay off when an industrial term gets only a handful of searches a month, because the person typing a specific process or material often has a drawing and a deadline. One of those buyers can be worth more than a month of broad, casual traffic.

Can quote requests go to the right person?

Lithium can set up the quote form to ask what the buyer needs, such as the process and the quantity, and route each request to whoever prices that kind of job.

Can you run ads that reach engineers and purchasing managers?

Lithium runs Google Ads that reach buyers at the moment they search for a process or part, plus campaigns on Microsoft Ads, and on LinkedIn, where you can target by job title, industry and company size. A new campaign’s first results usually arrive within about a week.

Can an AI receptionist answer a manufacturer’s main line?

Lithium’s AI receptionist can answer a manufacturer’s main line around the clock, drawing on a knowledge base written around your capabilities. It takes the caller’s details, books time with your team, follows up by text and can transfer the caller to someone in your shop. To hear it on a live call, dial (503) 766-5964.
