A professional chimney cleaning and fireplace cleaning is recommended annually. Willard Power Vac has several different ways of cleaning fireplaces and chimneys. We always begin with protecting our customer’s property.

With a straight fireplace and chimney:

1. We lay out tarps to protect the floor and areas around the chimney.
2. We then check to insure the damper is open.
3. We then seal off the front of the fireplace with a tarp and duct tape.
4. We then climb to the top of the chimney and sweep the chimney down with wire brushes that fit the size of each individual chimney.
5. Lastly, we return to the fireplace and using a portable vacuum we clean out and remove any debris from the firebox, vacuuming all the walls down and cleaning up the floor of the firebox.

This process ensures a clean safe fireplace for future use.
